Transportation

There are several ways to get to Catalina Island. We ask that you arrive into Avalon no later than 10:00 AM on the morning of your first day. The ferries leave regularly from several ports along the Southern California Coast. There is a helicopter transfer as well that departs from Long Beach terminal. Detailed information is listed below for transportation.

Ferries

Catalina Express – Depart from Dana Point, San Pedro and two Long Beach locations. Schedule varies per departure location. Please note that only San Pedro port has scheduled arrivals into Two Harbors.

Helicopter

For a scenic trip over the channel we recommend the helicopter ride from San Pedro to Pebbly Beach. The helicopter departs at scheduled times and takes approximately 15 minutes over the channel. To reserve your space on the helicopter ride please visit www.islandexpress.com.
